Stopping Michigan's Talent Exodus

Last month, new polling showed that just 64% of Michiganders aged 18-29 saw themselves living in the "Great Lakes State" in 10 years. This evaporation of both talent and resources is deeply concerning to Michgian's future economic prospects. On Wednesday, October 11, the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University (IPPSR) will host a Lunch and Learn exploring why Michigan's brightest and best young citizens are leaving the state and what we can do to entice them to stay. Brad Williams, Vice President, Government Relations, at the Detroit Regional Chamber, and others will be our guests to discuss these vital issues.

Panelist Information

  • Brad Williams, Detroit Regional Chamber
  • Tim Sowton, Business Leaders for Michigan
