Office for Survey Research (OSR)

The Office for Survey Research is an established survey research unit with experienced professional staff and a 45 station computer-assisted telephone interviewing lab.  We are dedicated to rigorous, collaborative research, utilizing any mode (phone, mail, web, mixed mode) needed to deliver high quality data.  We follow the industry’s best practices and contribute to future best practices through our methodological research.

State of the State Survey (SOSS)

IPPSR’s State of the State Survey is a public-opinion telephone survey of Michigan adults, conducted several times each year since 1994, collecting data and systematically seeking insights into Michigan’s economy, consumer confidence, trust in elected leaders, and hundreds of other important topics. In line with MSU's land-grant mission, all SOSS data are made available to the public six months after delivery of the dataset to the sponsors.
