Problems:

- The Future for Flint’s Children by Mona Hanna-Attisha in the New York Times. Hanna-Attisha spoke at our Flint water forum in March. She has been nominated to be one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People.

Policy:
- Learn From the Costly Mistakes of Failed EAA by Sarah Reckhow in the Detroit Free Press. Reckhow spoke at IPPSR’s Detroit schools forum in January.
- WKAR interviews Josh Sapotichne and Mona Hanna-Attisha at IPPSR’s Flint water forum.
- A new Michigan task force report is sharply critical of the state’s response to the Flint water crisis. It features data from Eric Scorsone on the emergency manager law.
Politics:
- Rep. Curtis Hertel Sr., Democratic co-Speaker with Republican former Rep. Paul Hillegonds, has died. He and Hillegonds were featured speakers at IPPSR’s Legislative Leadership Program in 2014.
- Matt Grossmann discusses how most polls missed the close Michigan Sanders-Clinton race at Detroit News, Vox, FiveThirtyEight, and Vice.
- Matt Grossmann’s research on party asymmetry discussed by Paul Krugman and Brad Delong and in The New Yorker.
