IPPSR is excited to announce that Arnold Weinfeld has been appointed Associate Director of IPPSR. He will continue to serve as Director of Urban Policy Initiatives at MSU’s Office for Outreach and Engagement. He joins our team to expand faculty and student research and help lead our legislative training and state policy research programs. Arnold brings tremendous experience in the Michigan Legislature, at the Michigan Municipal League, and as the former CEO of Prima Civitas. More information is available here:

IPPSR is also pleased to welcome Susy Heintz Avery as the next Michigan Political Leadership Program Co-Director. We are thankful for Anne Mervenne's 20 years of service to MPLP and lucky to recruit Susy to help lead the next class of MPLP fellows. Susy was an elected trustee and supervisor and Wayne County Commissioner before serving as Chair of the Michigan Republican Party, Director of Travel and Tourism for the state, and Executive Director of the Michigan Women's Commission.
