Informing the
Debate: Relationships between the Urban Built Environment, Social
Capital and Human Health
In collaboration with Michigan State University's Urban
Research Interest Group, the Institute for Public Policy and
Social Research (IPPSR) published eight white papers around this
important research area for 2004 candidates as well as current policymakers
and practitioners.
Informing
the Debate: Health Policy
IPPSR partnered with MSU's Institute for Health Care Studies (IHCS)
to develop seven health policy white papers for use in the 2002
state and local elections. The series, entitled Informing the
Debate: Health Policy Options for Michigan Policymakers, was
released on June 4, 2002 before more than 100 legislators, candidates,
department officials, and others involved in the policy process.
Complete papers and executive summaries are now available online.
Informing the Debate: Urban
Policy Papers
IPPSR is also partnering with the Urban Affairs Programs
(UAP) to eight urban affairs policy white papers. These papers were developed for use in the 2002 state and local elections, but are just as valuable now to current researchers.
They present balanced and thoughtful information on truly salient
issues. Abstracts of the papers are available online.
